iMED Card

iMED card

The iMED health insurance card is an essential piece of identification, along with your UBC student ID. During your coverage dates, keep your iMED card and your student ID with you so that you (or someone on your behalf) can access them in case you need medical attention.

How and when you get your iMED card

DCIS will start to email iMED Card to student's email address on record at UBC approximately one month prior to the start of your first UBC term—or later depending on when you register for your first class. Check your inbox and junk-mail folders!

Didn't get your iMED card?

TIP! Check your inbox and junk-mail folders! If you do not get your iMED card, please contact DCIS. In your email please write “Missing iMED card” as the subject, and in the message please include your name, student number, and date of arrival in BC.

Incorrect iMED card?

If your iMED card has incorrect information contact DCIS. In the email please write “Incorrect iMED card” as the subject. Include your name, student number, and date of arrival in BC in the message.
