Welcome to Global Campus Health Plan
the Student Insurance division of David Cummings Insurance Services (DCIS).

Why do I need health insurance?

Your health and well-being are extremely important.
If you suffer a sickness or injury, the most important thing is for you to get the proper medical attention. Without health insurance, the cost of medical services could limit your access to medical care or leave you with a large debt to pay.

Regent College policy requires that, as an international student, you have basic health insurance for the entire duration of your studies at Regent College. If you are bringing family, they should also have adequate health insurance during their stay in Canada.

DCIS provides competitive emergency hospital & medical insurance options for international students in Canada, and for  immigrants and returning Canadians who are new to BC who face a waiting period for coverage under the provincial health plan called BC Medical Services Plan (MSP).

Note to Regent College employees, visiting instructors, and post-doctorate fellows who need temporary hospital and medical coverage:
Please contact DCIS for a quotation of a 'non-student' medical insurance plan.

Important Notes:
The Allianz Global Assistance International Students to Canada Plan featured below is a competitively-priced plan available to FULL-TIME students until they are eligible for coverage under a Canadian provincial health plan.

Please note:

1. For policies applied for on or after April 29, 2023 this plan excludes expenses relating to a pre-existing medical condition, no matter how long the existing condition had been stable prior to the policy effective date.  If you would like a quotation for a medical plan that can cover an unforeseen emergency related to a stable pre-existing medical condition, please contact us to speak with one of our licensed insurance agents.

2. For policies applied for on or after December 1, 2023 this plan includes conditional emergency medical coverage regarding pre-existing medical condition that meet the policy definition of “Stable” in the 90 days preceding one’s policy effective date.  Under the updated policy applicable to policies purchased on/after December 1, 2023, the sudden and unforeseen need of emergency medical care relating to a “Stable” pre-existing medical condition can be covered subject to policy terms and conditions.  A pre-existing medical condition that does not meet the definition of “Stable” would be excluded.
